Since 1993, John Wayne Construction has built a rock solid reputation by providing unsurpassed quality and creativity in design and construction. We focus on satisfying our clients with resourceful teamwork, innovative planning, and cost effective installations. Our mission at JWC is to provide five-star construction services to the United States Government, discerning hoteliers, architects, interior designers, and general contractors throughout the United States and the Caribbean.


  • 1976

    Future John Wayne Construction founder, Bonner Griner, plants the seed that one day becomes JWC. Three generations of Griners and 40 years later JWC looks back at this company as the starting point.

  • 1985

    Wayne, second generation Griner, joins Bonner in the construction industry. Together they form a new division of Bonner Drywall focused solely on drywall finishes.

  • 1993

    Bonner and Wayne Griner team up with long time affiliate John Anderson. Together the three of them created John Wayne Construction, Inc.

  • 1997

    John Wayne Construction becomes Certified Installers of Triarch Industries, Inc.

  • 1999

    John Wayne Construction completes an entire hotel renovation at the prestigious Ritz Carlton Hotel in Marco Island, FL.

  • 2000

    John Wayne Construction provided interior renovations services for the offices of the entire House of Representatives at the Longworth and Cannon House Buildings in Washington, DC.

  • 2001

    John Wayne Construction creates the GSA Division focused on serving the US military and all it’s branches. Later that same year JWC GSA completed the renovation of all barracks at Camp LeJeune.

  • 2001

    John Wayne Construction is acknowledged for their contribution to the renovation of the world-class luxury hotel, Mandarin Oriental, Miami.

  • 2004

    John Wayne Construction creates a restoration services division to service the growing number of clients needing disaster relief. Following the record number of hurricane landfalls in the US, JWC built back thousands of homes, hundreds of buildings, and dozens of military bases.

  • 2014

    John Wayne Construction welcomed a third generation Griner, attorney Dustin Griner, to help propel JWC’s newest division. JWC’s newest division primarily focuses on rehabbing bank owned REO homes, investment properties and institutional rentals.
